Other than that, I'm on this earth for genuine interaction. Connecting with people who "get me" is one of my favorite experiences. I like meeting new people, learning from new perspectives and new ways of life.

My work isn't about the posy posy, but the "laughing at your man because he just farted" laugh or chasing after your kiddo as they run away laughing being captured and remembered every time you look back at your photos instead.

My goal is for you to have these photos during any moment of life. To have a picture of your lives to look back on and cherish forever. We are constantly rushing around as humans, that we forget to slow down. To remember the day to day moments just like we do with birthdays, celebrations, and holidays. Ya get me?

Check out this video if you want to see more of my personality and explaining my life in a different way :)

I FOCUS ON

the simple details

OF LIFE

I focus on the simple details of life. Whether that is an in-home family session or an adventurous day with your love.
While I love capturing the candid moments of your lives, capturing it the way it's lived, I also have a passion for creating editorial work. I started my journey in photography with styled shoots, and it's really cool to see that come full circle.

I live simply. If my loves are happy, I'm happy. I cherish the little things, quality time, and enjoying the moments in life that happen so candidly I can't even capture with an iPhone (which also brings me sadness because I want to quite literally document everything that happens in life). Give me all the sappy emotional movies. I am a sucker for the love. Yoga is my go to stress reliever, and Chocolate chip cookie dough is the way to my heart, but so is a nice hearty salad... I like a balanced life. I'm an enneagram 4 and Pisces (basically I'm always living through day dreams and finding meaning through everything in life, and I'm not joking). I still can't decide which of the five love languages I resonate with most, but I think the thought and intention behind any of them is what matters to me.

Other than that, I'm on this earth for genuine interaction. I like meeting new people, learning from new perspectives and new ways of life. My work isn't about the pose-y pose-y, but the "laughing at your man because he just farted" laugh or chasing after your kiddo as they run away laughing, and the slow moments that life naturally brings.

I want you to have the opportunity to slow down and really soak up the life that you live. To have these photos during any moment of life. We are constantly rushing around as humans, that we forget to slow down. To remember the day to day moments just like we do with birthdays, celebrations, and holidays. Ya get me?

This is my family

My husband and our pup. Life is better with them.  My husband brings out my goofy side. His fun personality will always be there to cheer me up, because, let's be honest, we all get a little overwhelmed from time to time.

We had a long distance relationship for 3 years and now finally get to live together and begin our own little traditions. We are homebodies without a doubt, but we love a good adventure just as much. Theon loves playing fetch (he could play for hours and still want more) and going for walks through our village.

We are pretty easy going, I'd say.

What makes us, us.

What inspires me as an artist.

I'm inspired by the every day moments. There's nothing more wholesome than being surrounded by people you love. I come from a big family, and have been thankful enough to have many laughs, always having a friend, someone to play with during any season, even out in the rain. Yeah, having "things" is nice, but nothing beats having someone to share it with. Without people, nothing else really matters.

The early 2000's, when  all you had was a camera to take a casual photo, not a phone in hand to post directly to the internet. When people weren't so "reachable". When "hanging out with friends" meant you were having actual conversations, you were living life, doing things. Not just sitting beside each other scrolling through social media. Not filling your life with FOMO (fear of missing out) and buying things to fill voids.

I'm inspired by living a slower pace in a busy world. It's hard to come by, but once you've managed to find that balance,  you'll wonder why you ever wanted to fill your time with a screen scrolling time away.

That's why I love the disconnect from technology. Picking up a good book, feeling the pages as you flip to read another chapter. Some other things I love: hand written notes. Film cameras. Living an intentional life. I find inspiration in movies and music. By nature and beautiful sunlight. I'm inspired by people. In person people. Hearing about their life, and their feelings. Seeing their expressions. Those features that make them unique.

Something I've learned to enjoy is a good cup of coffee, with maybe a little too much creamer. Listening to people tell stories. Catching up with people I haven't seen in a while. Taking long walks with our pup. I'm inspired by the human body. I'm inspired by love. By happiness. People watching and living in Europe. Getting to experience their pace of life first hand.
